Training Update (November 2009)

NEW Environmental Awareness training launched in 2010

We are pleased to announce that a 1-day Environmental Awareness course has been developed. The course is designed for individuals at any level and in any business sector. It provides delegates with a basic grounding in environmental management at both a global and company level.

Benefits of attending

  • Environmental awareness training is an important requirement for employees, employers and all those responsible for Environmental Management within an organisation.
  • Demonstrating that staff are environmentally aware is also an important requirement in meeting the "training, competence and awareness" clause of an environmental management system such as ISO 14001.
  • On successful completion of the course, delegates will be issued with an Environmental Awareness Certificate.

Course Overview

The course content is covered in an informal way using quality animated graphics and topical scenarios/examples. Exercises are built into the day to encourage delegate participation and to aid delivery. An assessment is completed at the end of the day to ensure that delegates have retained key information. The course aims to: -

  • Provide an introduction to 'the environment' and its management.
  • Improve delegate's understanding of key environmental issues and legislation.
  • Explain the key requirements associated with the implementation and ongoing management of an Environmental Management System (EMS).

  • What is the Environment?
  • What is going wrong?
  • Pollution and its management
  • Key environmental legislation
  • Corporate Environmental Management

In addition, the course can include details of your organisation's policies and procedures and can be tailored to meet your own requirements.
