Employment Law Update (February 2010)
2010 Maternity, Paternity, Statutory Sick Pay and Statutory
Redundancy rates
The updated rates for various statutory payments, including sick
pay, maternity pay and redundancy pay have recently been
announced.
As a result of low inflation, the rate of Statutory Sick Pay
will not increase, and the rate of statutory redundancy pay has
been frozen since its increase last October.
The new National Minimum Wage rates which will apply from
1st October have not yet been announced but are expected
to be announced in May.
