Practical Environmental Awareness
Awareness and understanding of environmental
issues is becoming more and more important, particularly with
regard to ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and
demonstrating environmental credentials to the supply chain.
As part of the launch of our environmental
service, we provide general environmental awareness training as
well as bespoke training which concentrates on certain
environmental topics in detail. This includes training on specific
pieces of legislation such as Site Waste Management Plans,
Hazardous Waste and the ‘Duty of Care’ for waste as well as other
specific environmental topics, such as Risk Assessment and Carbon
Foot-Printing.
This one-day approved Environmental Awareness
course is designed for individuals at any level and in any sector.
It provides delegates with a basic grounding in environmental
management at both a global and company level.

for Environmental Management within an organisation.
- Demonstrating that staff are environmentally aware is also an
important requirement in meeting the “training, competence and
awareness” clause of an environmental management system such

Course overview
The course content is covered in an informal
way using quality animated graphics and topical scenarios/
examples. Exercises are built into the day to encourage delegate
participation and to aid delivery. An assessment is completed at
the end of the day to ensure that delegates have retained key
information. The course aims to: -
- Provide an introduction to ‘the environment’ and its
management.
- Improve an understanding of key environmental issues and
legislation.
- Explain the key requirements associated with the implementation
and ongoing management of an Environmental Management System
(EMS).
