This one day course covers key practical people management
topics and is split into two key parts.
Performance, Absence and Conduct
This part of the course looks at the everyday issues handled by
managers and supervisors, including:
- How to ensure your employees work to your required standards
and what to do when their performance isn’t satisfactory.
- Top tips to handle employee absence and improve
attendance.
- Handling work place complaints and problems and learn what you
need to do to manage them effectively.
Managing Disciplinary and Dismissals
Delegates learn the practicalities of dealing with disciplinary
and dismissal situations from initial complaint all the way through
to appeal. They practise key questioning skills to get the facts of
the situation.
Many of our clients tell us that they find it difficult to
manage these sensitive issues. We often get asked:
- What am I allowed to say to an employee about their
performance?
- Can I dismiss an employee who is always off sick?
- When is it safe to dismiss?
