This month we’re focussing on two issues that can improve the bottom line - coaching staff to improve performance and ensuring your business has the basics in place to pre-qualify to tender for contracts.

As in sports coaching, business coaching is about making your people the best they can be, and it can improve performance well ahead of your expectations. Senior Consultant Lucy Coombs gives the benefit of her expertise.

Winning tenders for work from larger organisations can grow your business and enhance its reputation, which in turn leads to more work, but too many small businesses don’t get over the first hurdle, the pre-qualification stage. Essentially, this is about being able to prove your business does the right thing, whether in health and safety, employment relations, or other social goals.
