Tax Fee Protection Insurance Cover

The full terms and conditions of our tax fee protection insurance cover is contained in the Policy Document which will be sent to you as part of your welcome pack shortly.

In order to conclude your tax fee protection insurance cover today we have summarised some key aspects of the cover now.

Tax fee protection insurance is a legal expenses policy underwritten by AXA Insurance UK plc. Subject to the terms and conditions of the policy it will meet your accountancy fees arising in the event of HM Revenue and Customs enquiries or investigations.

The policy contains certain exclusion and limitations which are detailed in the policy documentation and we would ask that you refer to these. However we would like to highlight two significant exclusions of which you should be aware:

The policy will not pay out in respect of:

  • HM Revenue and Customs enquiries, investigations or disputes which commenced prior to inception of the policy and
  • Enquiries resulting from tax returns which were submitted late.

To buy the Mentor service at the end of the trial, please note the following:

  • We will contact you towards the end of the free trial period to offer you the opportunity to buy our Service
  • Access to the telephone advice service for employment law and health & safety can be provided based on your individual requirements, costs are available on request
  • The Mentor Tax Service is available at a cost of £17.50 per month plus VAT and includes an optional insurance service at no additional cost
  • The Service is available as a 12 or 36 month contract with the optional insurance cover renewable every 12 months
  • The Service can be paid for monthly or annually by direct debit
  • Provision of the optional insurance cover is wholly subject to acceptance of the risk by the underwriters
  • If you change your mind about the service, you have 30 days to cancel providing you have not used the service
